Dr. TAI Hei Yan Diane 戴希恩醫生
Specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology
Dr. Diane Tai received her MD in 2006 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She began her residency at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in 2007 and continued to work at QEH till 2020. In 2013, she obtained her specialist qualification in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Royal College of Edinburgh. She focused her post-fellowship training on foot and ankle reconstruction and Paediatric Orthopaedics.
In 2015, she continued her overseas training at the Royal Children Hospital in Melbourne and the Amsterdam Academic Medical Centre with Prof. Niek van Dijk. She has special interest in arthroscopic surgery and was trained at the Clinical and Research Institute for Foot and Ankle Surgery in Tokyo with Dr. Masato Takao in 2018.
Dr. Tai is an active trainer involved in training Orthopaedic residents. She is a co-author of a major textbook on arthroscopy. Enthusiastic to promote interest in foot and ankle surgery among Orthopaedic residents and fellows, she is the council member of the Hong Kong Foot and Ankle Society. She is also interested in clinical research and is the editor of the Journal of Emergency and Trauma Care.
